Born in Athens, Greece, I am 32, currently working at the Department of Biology at the University of Crete.
I have a background in both chemistry and biology and over the last ten years I have done research in the fields of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
When I am not enjoying good science (it happens sometimes!), I enjoy good music, good books and good football. I like both standard and contemporary jazz, but my favourite bands are still Pink Floyd and Sonic Youth. I love football but find it difficult to understand football fans, I like reading but find too few time to do so.
My greatest hope is that people will eventually shoot all their TV sets and take to the streets for an intellectual revolution the world has been waiting for too damn long!
